6P's to approach your interview

It is extremely essential that you are well prepared for an interview. We have defined six easy pointers to a successful interview in ‘6 Ps’. These are broadly identified for simple recollection and are not exhaustive. However, every interview is a step towards getting closer to the ultimate goal, which is the offer letter. So do keep in mind the following while you are gearing up for an interview.

* Punctuality
* Presentation
* Preface
* Preparation
* Proficiency
* Phraseology

'P'unctuality is the first perception the interviewer gets about the candidate.

* Come to the venue a good fifteen minutes before the scheduled time.

* Take sometime off to go through your resume once again and also the Company profile.

'P'resentation of oneself is of prime importance though many may not be aware.

* As you may not be aware of the company’s dress code, wear smart formals in which you are comfortable.

* Do not use too strong a deodorant or perfume.

* Be well groomed. Look at yourself from head to toe and step out only if you feel totally satisfied. Stand straight, relaxed and with a slight smile.

'P'reface is crucial. So do be cordial while introducing yourself.

* Firstly, introduce yourself with your name and make sure your eyes meet that of the interviewer. This reflects your confidence. Shake a hand with the interviewer and be sure to be firm while doing so.

'P'reparation by equipping yourself with relevant information about the company in which you are attending the interview is crucial.

* Be specific, interviewers are generally looking out for statistics and revenue numbers. Make sure you are also well aware of your current company’s specifics as well. Having competitor information is a definite plus point and shows that your knowledge of the industry as a whole is well aligned.
* Don’t sound brash while showcasing your knowledge.

'P'roficiency at an interview is derived from practice or rehearsals before the interview.

* Try mock interviews with a friend or you could also use the mirror as a substitute.These rehearsals help instill a good amount of confidence and dramatically reduce the chances of you being nervous.

* Always know your strengths and weaknesses and be sure to back it up with adequate instances.

* Never bring out a situation where you have failed. Always speak of Be aware that your interviewer will be very interested to know about how well your action/reactions would have induced a situation or the outcome itself. Do not make up scenarios; you could be against a wall with a small slip.
challenges for which creative solutions were found.

'P'hraseology of the body or more commonly ‘body language’, plays an important role while facing interviews as much as verbal communication if not more. One’s body language must communicate attentiveness, enthusiasm and confidence.

* Make eye contact and periodically break away. Do not look at the floor.
* While sitting in your chair sit straight, leaning might convey lethargy. An upright posture exudes confidence.

* Always be positive about the way you deliver and the content of your conversation.
* Avoid using movements that takes the interviewer’s attention away from your face.

* Do not move your hands wildly or keep them behind your head or reclining on your chair.

The above mentioned ‘Ps’ are just a few pointers on how you could make better the interview experience better for yourself. It helps you proactively prepare yourself to make a positive impression upon your interviewer. However, there is no substitute for relevant experience, expertise and domain knowledge. So equip yourself for questions on these spheres which will ultimately determine the outcome of the interview.

share your views n ideas to eradicate BLACKMONEY- eMAIL to bm-feedback@nic.in

The money that is earned and hoarded by dishonest and unfair means and kept in secret to evade taxes is called black-money. It becomes black because no taxes are paid on it. No taxes are paid on it because it is earned by dishonest and unfair means. Money turned to be black if taxes due thereon are evaded. The massive amount of black money in our country has created a parallel economy.
           Continuing generation and accumulation of black money poses a grave threat to our economy and is likely to threaten the very security and survival of the country. It is the source and at the same times cause of graft, corruption and the debasing of social and moral values. There are various factors responsible for the origin, existence and flourishing state of the parallel economy of black money. It originates with the combination of money and power. With black money any one can be bought or bribed, essential commodities can be corned and hoarded, healthy competition can be driven out and honest men and public servants can be blackmailed.
Dishonesty and corruption have become a normal way of life to set things done. This had led to continuing deterioration of moral standards. In recent years black money generation has been growing at a very fast rate in our country. So much so that it is difficult to isolate a single sector of economy or administration that moves without the use of black money
  • the major aspect child labour is affecting the economy in the terms of black money, According to a report by an NGO, there were an estimated 6 lakhcrore is generated as black money through child labour every year in India.if this six crore child labourers are substituted with the six crore adults with an average floor wage of Rs 115 per day, one labourer would generate Rs 1,38,000 crore. child labourers in the country. If that was not all, approximately Rs 1.2

corruption in INDIA

The last two decades of the existence of independence, India has seen a steep upward trend in the graph of existing corruption. The media, the public, the variety of forums for discussions and debates for the higher intellingensia are all neck deep buried in highlighting the rampant corruption in every sphere. In this debate the rural folk are also not far behind.

Fighting corruption has emerged as a key development issue in India in recent years. More and more policymakers, businesses, and civil society organizations, have begun to confront the issue openly. At the same time the general level of understanding about corruption has risen markedly. Until recently, it was not uncommon to hear someone discuss anti-corruption strictly in law enforcement terms. By contrast, most people working in the field today acknowledge that public education and prevention are equally important. The field has also come to appreciate how critical the role of civil society is for effective and sustained reform .

  • A 2005 study conducted by Transparency International in India found that more than 15% of Indians had first-hand experience of paying bribes or influence peddling to get jobs done in public offices successfully.
  • In 2010 India was ranked 87th out of 178 countries in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index.
  •  India tops the list for black money in the entire world with almost US$1456 billion in Swiss banks (approximately USD 1.4 trillion) in the form of black money.
  •  According to the data provided by the Swiss Banking Association Report (2006), India has more black money than the rest of the world combined.
  •  Indian-owned Swiss bank account assets are worth 13 times the country’s national debt “The recent scams involving unimaginably big amounts of money, such as the 2G spectrum scam, are well known. It is estimated that more than trillion dollars are stashed away in foreign havens, while 80% of Indians earn less than 2$ per day and every second child is malnourished. Avoiding corruption is like killing ones own egos, but its alwayz left behind.think off and step forward as single to join many to avoid corruption.

AVOID CORRUPTION- EASY TO SAY HARD TO IMPLEMENT.., BUT MILES OF JOURNEY STARTS WITH A SINGLE STEP I TOOK MY STEP NOW ITS UA TURN U NEED NOT TO GO AND EDUCATE INSTEAD TAKE A DECISION NOT TO BE CORRUPTED.IF ANY ONE OF YOU CAN CHANGE THROUGH THIS THEN THE PURPOSE IS SERVED......
